THE BIG GIG
featuring 'SPACE' and 'CATATONIA'
The Big Gig Official Programme

On Saturday June 6th 1998, (two days after the Classic Soul Show) I went to Cheltenham Race Course where THE BIG GIG was held. This Gig, which was actually my very first, truely outside gig featured two bands of the modern era plus a third band offering support.

The three bands featured in order of appearance were 60ft Dolls (support), Catatonia, and Space. Unfortunately, as the concert was about to begin, the heavens opened, luckily it was only a shower.

Tracks performed included, 'Neighbourhood', 'Female of the Species', 'Avenging Angels', 'Me & You Vs the World', 'Mulder and Scully', 'Road Rage', and 'The Ballad of Tom Jones'.

I thought the concert was excellent and in places Space reminded me of Pink Floyd.

The line-up of the three bands was:-
